No doubt you will pass many beautiful mills whilst exploring the Perigord, two in particular are well worth a mention.
Moulin De Rochereuil: This is a 12th century mill where the local harvests of walnuts are prepared ready for use in walnut oil, cakes and jams. You can buy the produce here also. It is set in an idyllic setting, perfect for a picnic. You will pass this mill on the way to Renamont. This is approimately 15 minutes from The Cherry Trees. Directions are in the information folder.
Maison de la Dronne: This is also a 12th century mill, working to produce electricity. Information on the mill and it's workings can be found inside. The river flows from here down to the Moulin du Pont restaurant at Lisle. It is situated in an area of parkland used by the local schools for educational projects. The evidence of this can be seen if you explore the parks. Once agan, this is a perfect location for a picnic. This is approximately 25 minutes from The Cherry Trees, and as ever, directions are in the information folder.
